Planning your visit

Before booking

Choose a day and entry slot on the official website, and check availability before arranging the rest of your day. Coordinate transport, arrival and your route through the park. This independent guide does not sell tickets or amend bookings. Keep the purchase email and QR code: the official website says you can show the ticket on your phone without printing it.

Plan the arrival

Calculate your journey to the entrance you intend to use, rather than just to a nearby station. The park is on a hillside, and the final walk may take more effort than the metro journey. Our planning advice is to leave time for walking, finding your bearings and locating the entrance. With children, luggage or anyone who needs breaks, avoid another timed booking immediately afterwards.

A route with a purpose

Our suggested approach is to look at the architecture first, then enjoy the paths and views. At the staircase, notice how water and decoration work together; in the Hypostyle Room, look at the relationship between the columns and the space above; on Nature Square, compare the curved bench with the landscape. This is an editorial suggestion, not an official itinerary or guaranteed visit duration. Adapt the order to your entrance, crowds and mobility.

What to bring and check

Bring comfortable shoes, water and protection suited to the weather. Save your ticket on your phone before leaving and check its battery. Use the official map to find facilities and resting places. Hours, prices, booking changes and access arrangements can change: check them when booking and again before travelling. For a purchase problem, contact your ticket seller, rather than this independent guide.
